About Us

"Pacific Basin Mills LLC", owned by Richard King, and
"Blackhat Logging Co.", owned by Jeramiah Blackhat, have
been working together for several years. We are located on
the Big Island of Hawaii and live about 75 miles apart, so we
can cover the whole Island between our two companies.
Both of our companies do logging, lumber milling, and fine
woodworking.

We are fortunate that in Hawaii we have trees from all over
the world. Our native trees like Koa, Ohia, Milo, Kamani and
several others are some of the rarest woods, and make
some of the most beautiful lumber you can find anywhere.
We also have an abundance of trees that have been
imported, like Monkeypod, Mango, many species of
Eucalyptus, Pine, Ironwood, Lacewood, and others too
numerous to mention.

We ship logs, lumber, custom
made objects, flooring, and hand
crafted fine furniture all over the
world. In the near future we will be
adding a commercial molding
machine to our equipment and will
be able to supply custom moldings
of any of our woods.

We work closely with several well
known artisans who can design
and create nearly anything that can
be made of wood. We sell craft
lumber on e-bay and can cut to
order wholesale lots of most of our
trees.

80% of the trees we harvest are acquired from land clearing as salvage, and any rare types are coupled with a replanting and
maintenance program that has been developed over the years with help from the University of Hawaii and many experts from the
academic community.
